Purchaser of Celia's Song Finds Instant Broodmare Success with Huge Update

Fasig-Tipton

Jason Hall, purchaser of CELIA’S SONG in the 2023 October Digital Sale, found instant success with his new broodmare purchase as she became the dam of a Grade 3 winner just 25 days after acquiring her.

CELIA’S SONG sold for $34,000 to Hall in the Fasig-Tipton October Digital Sale from the consignment of Greenfield Farms, agent. CELIA’S SONG is a daughter of top broodmare sire Distorted Humor and is out of the Grade 2 winning and Grade 1 placed Unbridled’s Song mare, Warbling.

When CELIA’S SONG was sold on the digital sales platform, her 2-year old, TWO GHOSTS, had just a maiden special weight win under his belt. After having owned CELIA’S SONG for only 5 days, Hall watched TWO GHOSTS run second in the Display S. at Woodbine and a few weeks later, the son of Ghostzapper found himself back at Woodbine, this time in the winner’s circle, after winning the Grey S. (G3) on November 4, 2023.

TWO GHOSTS, owned by Hoolie Racing and trained by Barbara Minshall, has been in the money in his last 4 starts and is now a two-time winner with earnings of $130,559. Picking up his first career stakes win in the Grey S. (G3), he beat stakes placed KING ROSSO and PIPIT and rallied to defeat favorite PIPER’S FACTOR by one length to give Hall a huge update for his new addition to his broodmare band.
