Came to Josie Carroll on 4/18 from Florida (Mike Cooke), you will see that she hasn’t missed a single work if you check the work tab.
Josie is in the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame and would love to train her and has been a finalist as the leading trainer in Canada on numerous occasions including last year (multiple Queen’s Plate/Oaks winner).
She is correct with good bone and in impeccable physical condition.
She is a very intelligent filly and easy to train and maintain.
Her dam has an exceptional VIOLENCE filly this year (I can send pics if anyone asks), and is back in foal early to VIOLENCE. This makes parting with CORSIA VELOCE a little easier.
Her race-MSW versus colts in an 8 horse field and she won at first asking. Her time and Equibase Speed figure were better than the filly that just won the My Dear S. this past weekend.
She is a Registered Ontario-bred and eligible for all of the races and bonus’ that apply including the $250,000 Princess Elizabeth S. this year and the $500,000 Canadian Oaks next year.
Her brother CORSI was meant to be a significant horse. Winning both starts at 2 in allowance company, 1 on poly and one on turf, he was among the $1,000,000 Queen’s Plate Winter Book favourites. It was a freak accident when a rogue horse slammed into him in the Spring of his 3 YO year and dropped him and his rider to the ground. He never recovered though we tried to rehab him and gave him 2 starts as a 4 YO.
For anyone interested when we did this mating it qualified as a A+ E Nick and a 20/20 G1 Goldmine rating.
